Trópico de Sangre Michelle's company, Cheshire Kat Productions, in association with Kemasi Films, is producing this spanish-language feature which tells the true story of the Dominican Republic's historic Mirabal sisters, Minerva in particular, who dared to oppose the dictatorship of Rafael Leónidas Trujillo and who were ultimately assassinated by the leader in 1960 as a result.
