Eden is Ann Marie's best friend. Life for Anne Marie has been one
long pipe dream. She's about to make that dream a reality, but only
if she can keep from drowning in her own fear. As the clock ticks
down to the Pipe Masters surf competition located on the north shore
of Oahu, more is at stake than the pressure of competing in the world's
most dangerous, aggressive, and male-dominated sports. She must first
win a dreaded contest within, and Eden is determined to force her
to do that. The two share a beach shack with their other friend Lena,
and Ann Marie's rebellious little sister Penny. Eden, makes surf boards
and is also an avid surfer, which allows her to train Anne Marie for
a major upcoming competition which could make or break Ann Marie's
future. The three young women live for the adreneline-charged surf
scene, rising before dawn everyday to surf the massive Pipe. The friends
barely get by working as hotel maids in a major resort, which also
allows them time to focus on the water. Things change however, when
a pro football team with slovenly habbits and big wallets check into
the hotel. Like it or not, Anne Marie loses her balance, and finds
it, when she begins to fall for pro quarterback Matt Tollman. Eden,
constantly on Anne Marie about staying focused, struggles to get Ann
Marie to stay the course and not give up her dream just because "Some
guy thinks you look hot in a bikini". Though resistant to Eden's
constant pressure, eventually Ann Marie learns what really matters
in her life and is able to finally achieve success with everyone she
loves cheering her on.
